It provides an opportunity for engineers and scientists from all disciplines that use computational modeling and simulation to discuss and exchange ideas and methods for verification of codes and solutions.

Highlighted in this year's symposium will be a program of experts speaking on topics that include the future of V&V in engineering, the role of scaling in validation and ASME’s upcoming Journal of Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification (JVVUQ). This journal disseminates original and applied research, illustrative example, and high quality validation experiments and data from leaders in the field of VVUQ of computation models.

Two training seminars on V&V in Scientific Computing & Simulation-Based Decision Making will be available for attendees to earn continuing education credits on May 11-12.

The ASME V&V Standards Committee and V&V Subcommittees will also hold their meetings in the days prior to the symposium in an effort to encourage participation and discussion on additional topics for standards development with a broader community.

To register, make hotel reservations and for full symposium information, visit the symposium website or contact Ryan Crane at craner@asme.org or by phone at +1.212.591.7004.
