Source: Yaskawa America Inc. Motion DivisionA highly configurable machine controller that is available with one or three option modules features a built-in web server, programmable amplifier outputs and a choice between eight different option cards to accommodate most machine requirements.
Yaskawa’s MP3300iec machine controller is the newest member of the MPiec series. It supports IEC61131-3 and PLCopen programming standards and communicates across EtherNet/IP and Modbus/TCP for enhanced interoperability.
The device features a 400/800-MHz processor speed and a responsive motion network speed as fast as 0.25 milliseconds for control of four, eight, 20, 32 or 62 motion axes.
The MECHATROLINK-III motion network that it is supported by provides for controller-centric commissioning while the device also supports numerous third-party remote I/Os.
