A plug-and-play module with an integrated electrodeless discharge lamp (EDL) and a corresponding power supply is designed for continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS) using ultraviolet resonance absorption spectroscopy (UV-RAS).
Heraeus’s NOx Module addresses the challenges of tuning a light source in a UV-RAS system. The pre-tuned module is encased in an enclosure, providing a stable environment and extending life expectancy. The enclosed module also facilitates integration into OEM UV-RAS systems.
The lamp emits a spectrum in the UV range, which is used for direct measurement of nitrous oxide, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, sulfur dioxide and total nitrous oxides (NOx). The concentration of the light source in the UV region allows users to avoid the influences of water vapor and carbon dioxide, achieving highly accurate measurements of several components simultaneously in real-time.
