This year, Automate Show landed on calendars one month later than usual, which means the anticipation for one of smart manufacturing's marquee events is that much higher. Considering how quickly this space is innovating, that is completely apropos.

Running June 22-25 at McCormick Place in Chicago, more than 40,000 attendees will be on hand to witness and learn about the robotics, AI, machine vision, sensing and processing technologies that shape and transform manufacturing today. With more than 800 vendors, there will be something for any industry or application.

Automate extends far beyond a show floor. More than 100 technical sessions will be offered, some of which offer certifications. Multiple networking and social events are planned. The days are anchored around keynote addresses from prominent industry executives from Cognex, FANUC, Intrinsic, Schneider Electric, Siemens Digital Industries and Standard Bots, as well as one from a legendary Bears' linebacker.

Once again, GlobalSpec will be on hand to take it all in and meet new engineers and technical professionals. Swing by booth No. 4622, near the food service area, to grab your limited edition May the Torque Be With You t-shirt.

If you can't make it, or might just be looking for a digital show companion, stay tuned here as we offer news and updates right from Second City.
