Since its inception in 2020, the Tomorrow's Engineers Code program has introduced thousands of students in the U.K. to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Participating organizations are committed to drive inclusion and increase the number and diversity of young people entering engineering and technology careers.

Launched by non-profit EngineeringUK, the effort now counts over 400 organizations involved inSource: EngineeringUKSource: EngineeringUK developing STEM outreach and inspire the next generation of engineers through the Tomorrow’s Engineers Code. Signatories pledge to convey the breadth of opportunities and benefits that careers in engineering and technology offer to all young people, as well as the positive environmental and societal impact.

In its first five years, the Tomorrow’s Engineers Code has successfully improved understanding of the STEM outreach landscape among its community, as reported by 73% of signatories. In 2024, over 55,000 young people took part in EngineeringUK’s schools’ activity, with many more participating in outreach from organizations across the country. This year’s aim is to engage even more through the theme ‘Dare to discover.’
