A new ion chromatography (IC) system from Thermo Fisher Scientific is intended to make ion analysis simpler and more intuitive for laboratories of all sizes. The Dionex Inuvion IC instrument is easily reconfigurable to streamline operations for users who require the determination of ionic and small polar compounds.

Configured to conduct a wider range of IC analysis with one instrument, the Dionex Inuvion IC system equips environmental, industrial, municipal water, and food and beverage labs with the equipment needed to identify ionic contaminants in water as well as corrosive contaminants in oil and gas. Small ionicSource: Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.Source: Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. compounds in food, beverage, and pharmaceuticals are also consistently and reliably quantified.

This system supports electrolytic suppression and can include reagent-free IC eluent generation for additional time-savings, greater analytical consistency and gradients to optimize methods. It offers automated start-up and shut-down routines to save time and consistently reliable performance for busy analytical testing laboratories.

Featuring a small footprint, the flexible platform can be modified to meet current analytical requirements and help extend IC capabilities to adapt to changing sample types and workflow specifications. The inclusion of new advanced pump technology improves speed, quality and reproducibility, and user-installable accessories such as an integrated regenerant pump, column heater or digital gas pressure regulator, extend its capabilities.
