A new online design and specification tool from heat transfer specialist Alfa Laval simplifies the selection of heat exchangers for processing industry applications. Equipment specifiers will be able to easily identify the correct solution as differing designs and solutions flood the market.

The HEXpert system provides the key performance information crucial to choosing effective solutions for specific processing plant applications. Using HEXpert, specifiers enter information about their operations and heat transfer requirements in a four-step process, starting with adding information about the exchangerSource: Alfa Laval position. Further steps involve providing specific details on design parameters and application demands through a question-and-answer format, before providing a full and detailed product recommendation. The tool will be invaluable to busy processing professionals looking to streamline the first step of the specification process.

The tool currently covers products for design pressures up to 100 bar and design temperatures up to 450° C.
