Two food packaging suppliers, LINPAC Packaging and Graphic Packaging, have partnered to develop patisserie cartons, aiming to give bakeries and retailers a way to elevate style and shelf presentation for pastries, cakes and cream-filled buns.

Carton board trays from Graphic Packaging mated with LINPAC clear rPET lids, a single source for bakeries to secure carton-and-lid combos in four formats. Graphic Packaging supplies carton board trays and bases and Linpac supplies matching rPET lids for four pack styles. The lineup means bakery customers will not have to buy trays and lids from different suppliers.

The four carton designs include the Fold Out shallow carton board base with a tapered rPET lid for in-store loading and the Theatre Pack, which features a hinged lid and wrap-around carton board base. The Multi-Height nested-tray carton offers flexibility and inventory efficiency. And, the Clip-In is a design that folds flat to minimize storage requirements, but constructs at point-of-sale.

“The enhanced presentation and visibility offered by these patisserie cartons will ensure products stand out on the shelf to drive sales and return on investment,” says Adam Barnett, a managing director for LINPAC.
