A new subscription-based service helps manufacturers better utilize data and analytics to prevent bonding and adhesion issues at all stages of a product life cycle.

The BConnect system runs on a software as a service platform from Brighton Science to collects data from networked devices that assess surface readiness for bonding, coating or sealing by measuring the water contact angle. Documenting this datapoint is critical throughout the development and production process, as 90% of surface failures are attributable to a lack of surface readiness.

Sensitive mobile and inline sensors that collect this data and wirelessly upload it to the BConnect cloud-based SaaS platform. Networks can be configured for the lab to create and conduct experiments designed specifically for quality monitoring on production lines, or to include shared visibility across all teams for end-to-end solutions to optimize processes and reduce costly waste and recalls.
