A patent has recently been issued to Sunseeker Enterprises, Inc. DBA, Sun FireDefense for its fire prevention coating formula.

Patent #11441076, which was granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, is a coating that when applied to structures — such as residential properties, commercial buildings and utility pole assets, for instance — will slow the spread of fire.

When applied to surfaces, dried and cured, Sun FireDefense's SPF3000 coating is absorbed into the substrate where it significantly reduces the potential for combustion for years after application.

Sun FireDefense's clear SPF3000 coating can reportedly be applied to various surfaces composed of wood, metals, plastics, polymers, fiberglass and fabrics where it serves as a protective layer that expands and thus starves oxygen, which fire requires, thereby extinguishing itself.

According to its developers, SPF3000 can also be mixed into paints and stains and sprayed onto existing structures.
