Hazard detection and rescue robot dog makes its debut
Marie Donlon | August 24, 2022DEEP Robotics, a manufacturer of quadruped robots, has released its Jueying X20 hazard detection and rescue robot dog.
The robotic dog can navigate complex terrain in the aftermath of a disaster, such as an earthquake. According to its developers, the Jueying X20 can perform detection tasks in extreme weather conditions and navigate both high risk outdoor and indoor spaces.

With a maximum payload of 85 kg, DEEP Robotics suggests that Jueying X20 can carry oxygen bottles and other rescue supplies to those injured or displaced by a disaster.
To enable the Jueying X20 to assist with rescue and detection tasks, DEEP Robotics has outfitted the robotic dog with a long distance communication system, a bi-spectrum PTZ camera, gas-sensing equipment and an omnidirectional camera. Together, these features enable the robot dog to transmit images to long distance operators, and to perform heat-source tracking, real-time detection of harmful gases, rescue calls and other assorted functions.

Geez. The Chinese just shamelessly steal and copy everything. Now, Boston Dynamics' robots.
