Ulbrich has launched an easy-to-browse e-commerce solution that enhances their Braid Wire Accelerator program. The online store makes it easier for medical device manufacturers to source the braid wire materials they need. With just a few clicks, customers can instantaneously see what items Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products has in stock through their Standard Braid Wire Accelerator Program.

Ulbrich’s Standard program offers a wide range of alloys, in various tensile and winding tension configurations, to allow customers to select the best braiding material for their equipment and application. Once a customer finds the right material for their requirements, they add it to their cart and check out, then one of Ulbrich's wire specialists will promptly contact them to finalize their order.

Additionally, Ulbrich’s Braid Wire Accelerator now includes a Rapid Prototype solution for those who require modifications to meet their spec, utilizing semi-finished materials. Modifications may include refinement to the dimensions of standard wire or a tweak to its properties or finish. The Rapid Prototype program offers quick lead times and low minimum order quantities but is slightly longer than the Braid Wire Accelerator Standard program because of the extra processing needed to meet customer specific requirements.

This innovative procurement tool includes precision round and flat wire for braiding applications, including stents, catheters, cannula and more. Ulbrich’s winding capabilities include Steeger bobbins, DIN 100, coil winding spools or other standard spools. They also offer parallel, multi-ended wire when greater braid density is required.

Ulbrich understands that for medical device manufacturers, speed is everything. That is why their new e-commerce and rapid prototyping solutions are designed to help customers procure the highest-quality braid material faster. With Ulbrich's Braid Wire Accelerator, customers can source wire that consistently meets required properties in smaller quantities, enabling them to rapidly prototype, iterate and get final designs to market faster.
