Be it a metal, polymer, semiconductor or ceramic. In solid, gaseous or liquid phase. Used as a raw material or in a conglomerate to create a discrete item. The materials and chemicals of the world around us provide an innate sense of what is possible and what might be.

Engineers dedicate careers to measuring things like tensile strength, conductivity, thermodynamics and deformation.

It is impossible to adequately convey the immense magnitude of materials science in just a handful or articles.
