Automation and drive specialist Baumüller has revised its servo motor series for aggressive environments and for industries with very high demands on hygiene, cleanliness and corrosion protection, increasing the flexibility for connection to its customers' machines.

With the HYG1 stainless steel motor series, the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are met while high compactness and power density are maintained. For the connection of the HYG1 to gearboxes, in addition to the previously available flange option B14, the option B5 is now also offered, enabling the Source: Baumüller Source: Baumüller motor to be mounted on stainless steel gearboxes and simplifying its use in demanding applications such as the food industry.

In food processing, beverage filling and the pharmaceutical and packaging industries, machines must be quickly and easily cleaned. Baumüller meets this requirement with the HYG1, thus ensuring minimal downtime.

The compact servo motor has a round housing made of stainless steel with a single-cable solution. Corners and edges are minimized to meet the highest standards of hygiene and robustness even in aggressive environments. The corrugated design of the servo motor maximizes the surface size and thus the self-cooling of the motor. For example, the power density of the HYG1 is particularly high with a small installation space.

The HYG1 motor series is currently available in size 36 and in two different lengths with an output of up to 1,160 W and a speed of 1,000 to 4,000 min-1.
