Boeing Unveils Digital Records Management Tool

Boeing 787's, new digital airline maintenance records tool increases operational efficiency.The module provides a platform to manage maintenance and flight records, eliminating paper-based maintenance, Boeing says. The module works with other Toolbox solutions, increasing efficiencies related to maintenance operations and leased airplane management.
Per Norén, vice president, Digital Solutions, Boeing Digital Aviation says that maintenance record automation is new and essential to the Maintenance Performance Toolbox. The product is intended to reduce daily record-keeping and lease management costs and improve aircraft maintenance processes. The module creates intelligent documents, features dynamic records search and improves airline maintenance workflow capabilities.
Access to the module through the Boeing Maintenance Performance Toolbox application is claimed to offer an operational advantage for airlines that need an integrated approach to technical documentation management. More than 160 customers currently use the suite, Boeing says.
