Blackmer (part of the PSG Dover company), recently launched its new System One High Temperature series centrifugal pump model. This is welcome news to many industries where centrifugal pumps represent a major portion of their critical equipment base but have historically been limited to standard temperature thresholds of around 400° F (or 204° C).

The new System One High Temperature series can be pre-configured to meet specific customer temperature requirements. The range can cater to maximum temperatures of up to 450° F (232° C) with the 450° F Line, 650° F (343° C) with the 650° F Line and even up to 750° F (398° C) with special factory consultation. The pumps have been designed using high temperature-resistant flanges and elastomers, combined with a unique centerline mount that supports high temperatures. Blackmer also utilizes high temperature bushings, fasteners and paint to further enhance reliability and pump life.

Blackmer’s System One Frame A and Frame M centrifugal pumps are some of the most reliable and robust pumps in the industry for heavy-duty applications. Both ranges meet ASME/ANSI dimensional specifications. System One High Temperature series pumps can deliver capacities up to 1,400 gpm (5,299 L/min). The design allows the pumps to transfer valuable fluids in a range of applications including paper, plastic, petrochemical, thermal oils and heat transfer.
