A complimentary course covering COVID-19 and batteries is available to help distributors, workshops and garages combat the rise of battery failure occurring because of reduced usage due to lockdowns. The offering from U.K.-based GS Yuasa will inform participants about the causes of battery failure, explain how to assess a potential warranty claim and stress the importance of battery care.

Source: GS Yuasa Source: GS Yuasa The course has been compiled as part of the battery manufacturer’s award-winning GS Yuasa Academy training platform and consists of four short modules. The training resource was developed in response to a significant rise in battery failure as a consequence of vehicles being off the road as a result of coronavirus restrictions implemented in the U.K. and elsewhere. As well as providing timely, COVID-specific advice, the course also acts as an introduction for those not familiar with the battery manufacturer’s training platform.

Users who complete the 20 dynamic courses from the GS Yuasa Academy are eligible to apply for full Institute of the Motor Industry certification and membership through the platform.
