German pump manufacturer debuts air source heat pump
Engineering360 News Desk | July 28, 2020Viessmann, a Germany-based manufacturer of heating, industrial and refrigeration systems, has launched its new Vitocal 100-A air source heat pump, which is a compact pump intended for installation into the standard British heating system, replacing gas and oil boilers.
The Vitocal 100-A heat pump is 377 to 455 mm in depth, 924 to 1,047 mm in width and 828 to 1,409 mm in height, based on output. According to developers, there are six versions of the pump currently available with outputs that range from 6 to 16 kW. Additionally, the Vitocal fits into homes where space is limited and it is energy efficiency, offering low running costs.
Likewise, the Vitocal 100-A is also a fully integrated outdoor unit that does not demand a corresponding indoor unit.

The Vitocal 100-A heat pump reaches 60° C at -5° C outside temperature. It also has a high coefficient of performance (COP) of up to 4.9 (at A7/W35).
