Servo drive product line additions from Advanced Motion Controls
Engineering360 News Desk | February 11, 2020Advanced Motion Controls announced three additions to its FlexPro servo drive product line, the FM series.
The FM drives are equipped with an interface board that is designed to facilitate integrating the drive into existing systems with standard connectors.
According to the company, FM060-5-EM and FM060-10-EM are connected to the power supply and motor using screw terminals; the FM060-25-EM uses pre-soldered connection leads.
Features include:
- 50.8 x 25.4 x 26 mm (2 x 1 x 1.03 in)
- 10-55 V DC input
- 5 A continuous, 10 A peak for FM060-5-EM
- 10 A continuous, 20 A peak for FM060-10-EM
- 25 A continuous, 50 A peak for FM060-25-EM
- Incremental encoder and BISS C-mode feedback
- Torque, velocity and position operating modes
- Phoenix and Molex connectors
- Configuration and full loop tuning
- Integrated motion platform and control technology (IMPACT) architecture
The company said that the small size of its FM drives makes them suitable for collaborative robots, AGVs, portable devices, lab and warehouse automation, military equipment and other integrated designs.
The company's IMPACT architecture includes circuit board stacking along with creative selection and placement of high-power components. The company said its architecture allows for higher power density than previous servo drives. This technology will be used in future FlexPro drives as well as custom products where specified.
