Rust and rattle-proof design reinvents license plate mounting
Engineering360 News Desk | August 12, 2019Rightcar Solutions recently highlighted its patented line of silicone license plate frames for cars and motorcycles. The sleek, streamlined design was engineered to be waterproof, rust-proof and rattle-proof.
The silicon plate frames are available in blue, white, black, red, grey and yellow. Rightcar claims they are attractive and easy to assemble. The silicone frame fits all standard-issue car and motorcycle plates. Each frame comes with in-built water and ice protection. They are entirely rust-proof and can withstand temperatures as high as 392° F or temperatures as low as -76° F. With zero license plate obstruction and zero sticker obstruction, motorists can drive safely without worrying about their plate's legal compliance.
Plate frames are available on the Rightcar Solutions website.
Every car manufacturer afaik uses frames made from plastic ( that is recyclable ) and motor vehicle departments issue plates made from aluminum. Even the attachment fasteners are made from aluminum and plastic.
As to the location of a region that uses metal plates and frames, this must be a 3rd world country where spending any amount of money on exotic silicone frames would be considered hardly trivial.

I am pretty sure Ohio plates are not aluminum. They rust in only a few years.
