Mastercam 2020 delivers advanced features supporting process automation, increased operating efficiency and increased accuracy. From job set-up to toolpath projections and machine simulations, the focus of the new version of Mastercam is supported by a host of drag-and-drop extensions.

Job preparation and setup

To reduce setup and preparation time a tool insert and holder filter option has been added. Inserts and holders can now be filtered by attribute and associativity. Chaining enhancements have also been introduced for both Wireframe and Solids to help improve chain display and behavior.

Validation

Mastercam2020 now provides for improved toolpath and machine simulations. The programming software includes a return-to-home position on tool plane change, improved toolpath graphics and a rotary axis positioning simulation that allows users to visualize multi-axis movements. These advanced features allow for improved cycle time and increased accuracy.
