A new hand-held leak detector from Inficon combines the leak location functionality of a portable monitor with the pinpoint leak detection capabilities of a hand-held unit.
The D-TEK Stratus refrigerant leak detector and portable monitor operates on both "cloud hunter" and pinpoint modes. The innovative cloud hunter mode allows users to quickly locate leaks. A large, easy-to-read LCD display reads out fluorocarbon refrigerant concentrations in parts per million (ppm), allowing technicians to quickly scan large areas. The pinpoint mode then allows users to precisely locate leaks with an alarm and on-screen indicators.
Functioning as both a portable monitor and a hand-held leak detector, the D-TEK Stratus provides refrigerant and industrial air conditioning technicians with the functionality to quickly scan and locate leaks. The device also features an ergonomic design, a redesigned infrared sensor, a lithium-ion battery with quick charge capabilities as well as automatic and manual zero modes. Technicians can scan large areas, set a base point and identify leaks with pinpoint accuracy all with a single instrument.
