Lockheed Martin awarding 200 STEM scholarships
Engineering360 News Desk | April 30, 2019Lockheed Martin is awarding 200 scholarships in 2019 as part of its STEM Scholarship Program.
The program is geared toward high school and college undergraduate students looking to pursue majors in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and who demonstrate a financial need and are from an underrepresented group or underserved community.
Students will receive up to $40,000 total in scholarship funding, or $10,000 per school year for up to three additional years, or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever comes first. Lockheed Martin plans to grow the program to 1,000 students and will award about $10 million in scholarships annually.
The company will choose from more than 6,300 applications and the company will reopen the next round of applications in January of 2020.
