Security will soon be getting another layer at one of the world’s busiest airports.

The Transportation Security Administration and American Airlines just announced that they will soon be testing computed-tomography scanners for advanced 3D imaging on travelers passing through New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport.

The machines, which will be located at JFK’s Terminal 8, will offer screeners a chance to manipulate 3D images to better see the contents of a bag.

The technology, according to TSA Administrator David Pekoske, is expected to improve security almost immediately.
