Alexa will soon be joining folks on vacation as Amazon unveils a version of the voice assistant designed for hotel rooms.

Guests staying at select hotels this summer will be able to ask the voice assistant for more towels or restaurant recommendations — all without picking up the phone and calling the front desk.

The Amazon Echo speakers, thanks to an agreement with Marriott, will appear in 10 different hotels this summer including at the company’s Westin and St. Regis brand hotels.

For guests with privacy concerns, Amazon assures that hotel guest data will be “wiped” from the devices daily. For guests concerned about the devices being in the room at all, Marriot assures that the devices can be removed.

Other capabilities of the hotel line of devices include listing hours for services and amenities, turning down the lights in the room, playing lullabies to help guests sleep, as well as being able to check guests out of their hotel rooms at the end of their stay.
