New Valve Creates a Pulsating and Jetting Mode in Pumps

Cat Pumps has announced their new Mag-Jet Valve created for jetting and pulsating in pumps. The Mag-Jet uses a special SS magnetic valve with a strong corrosion resistant magnet to hold one inlet valve open. This creates a strong, pulse-jetting action to power nozzles through the tough clogs.
To operate the Mag-Jet Valve, users just have to push-in the handle. This activates the jetting action. The Mag-Jet holds the valve open, therefore reducing the pump flow by one-third. This triggers the desired pulsations for effective jetting. A special detent allows the Mag-Jet to be pushed into the right position to allow the magnet to pull and hold the inlet valve open in jetting mode. When it is pulled out, the magnet is released so the inlet valve is seated in the high-pressure mode. Holding the valve open allows the pumping chamber to see liquid at all times and eliminates exposure to extreme vacuum conditions, giving the valve a longer seal and pump life.
