Residents of the state of New Jersey will soon learn if a proposed bill making it illegal to operate drones while inebriated will become law.
Although the bill has already passed the Senate, it is set to be reviewed by the New Jersey Assembly Committee.
According to the bill, persons found guilty of operating drones while intoxicated could face up to six months in jail, pay a $1,000 fine or a combination of both.
Although the first to enact such legislation, New Jersey is not the first state to consider stricter drone regulations, with North Carolina recently prohibiting drone use near prisons, jails and other correction facilities.
