Sierra Instruments’ InnovaSonic^® 207i transit-time ultrasonic flow meter answers needs in thermal energy metering. Their new system integrates ultrasonic flow measurements with temperature transmitters to calculate real-time liquid density, ensuring the highest accuracy possible.

The system was designed for liquid flow metering applications with thermal energy/British thermal unit (BTU) capabilities. Use of clamp-on sensors allows for non-invasive metering with either permanent or temporary installations.

It is ideal for large line sizes or exotic materials, is tolerant of liquids with entrained gas or suspended solids and comes with a comprehensive software package with applications in field calibration and validation. Additional apps are also under development to enhance user experience and increase its ease of use.
