Delphi will become a systems integrator and development partner for BMW, Intel, and Mobileye as part of their joint automated vehicle effort.

The company will leverage its expertise in automated driving and system integration to help develop and deploy automated driving technology.

More specifically, Delphi will integrate the solution delivered by BMW, Intel, and Mobileye into various vehicle architectures. Delphi may also provide software and hardware components such as sensors as part of customization efforts.

In July 2016, the BMW Group, Intel, and Mobileye announced an agreement to deliver a fully automated driving system for serial production by 2021. The companies say they have since developed a scalable architecture that can be adopted by other carmakers and mobility providers in pursuing designs and to create brand differentiation.
