Outage Management App Wins Itron Award

The winning entry, announced at Itron’s Utility Week event in Florida, was a mobile and web application for outage management that predicts and proactively communicates outages to customers. The application enables immediate communication to affected customers on outage incidents and restoration status, while also enabling customers to report an outage.
The app provides a visual look and feel of an outage for both consumers and field crews.The app provides a look and feel of the outage and restored areas for both the consumers and field crew. Using the app, the utility’s operations can use the near real-time outage notifications to quickly predict fault locations.
