A California-based company dedicated to removing harmful contaminants from the U.S. water supply has engineered a novel foam fractionation system to handle tough-to-treat per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) streams. While conventional approaches to this process rely on air diffusion technologies, the FoamPro system from AqueoUS Vets relies on an innovative vacuum system that improves mass transfer efficiency and reduces energy consumption.

The plug-and-play system is available in stackable modules ranging from 0.5 gal/minute to 100 gal/minute and is intended to treat PFAS effluent in the industrial and remedial spaces. Tests conducted on The FoamPro system has on aqueous film forming foam rinse water demonstrated removal of more than 99% of PFAS from initial concentrations in the tens of thousands of parts per trillion.

AqueoUS Vets has also developed a sustainable carbon water filtration media based on bituminous coal sourced from remediated coal refuse sites and coconut shells. These EcoCarb media offer superior performance in eliminating contaminants from drinking water.
