The outdoor automation system reportedly features a six-axis articulated robot equipped with a welding torch installed on a tracked undercarriage and outfitted with a vision system for autonomously identifying welding joints.

According to its developers, the MR4Weld is expected to improve welding quality, performance and the well-being of human workers amid welding activities.

Further, the system also uses digital tools to gather welding and production data for recording welded joints.
