An artificial intelligence (AI)-based tool from software developer Bluon, Inc. allows HVAC technicians to instantly diagnose and solve problems in the field, using only natural language. The beta product is available publicly to the entire industry for a limited time.

Considered the first generative AI tool devised to assist HVAC technicians, MasterMechanic is an assistiveSource: Bluon, Inc. application intended to give HVAC technicians step-by-step answers to specific, complex problems in language that is easy to follow and very specific to the issue at hand.

While similar to ChatGPT, the system is trained on Bluon’s brand-agnostic and comprehensive body of HVAC data instead of relying on generic internet content. Bluon’s HVAC data includes nearly 50,000 problem-solution scenarios experienced in the real world, enabling MasterMechanic to understand a vast array of HVAC issues in every system type from residential to complex commercial units.
