A new n-type bifacial heterojunction solar panel with half-cut cells and a double-glass design has been engineered by RECOM Technologies to deliver long-lasting high performance and low degradation of the module.

Suitable for large-scale arrays and rooftop solar applications, the Lion heterojunction technology series includes five different panels with power ratings of 375 W to 395 W, and efficiencies ranging from 20.59% to 21.68%. High efficiency is realized by surrounding a mono thin crystalline silicon wafer with ultra-thin amorphous silicon layers, enabling more energy to be harvested when compared to conventional silicon solar panels. With a bifaciality factor up to 90% — compared to 70% for industry standard modules — these devices harness up to 20% more energy yield, in low-light conditions, in the morning an evening hours and under cloudy skies.

The panels can be used in photovoltaic systems with a maximum voltage of 1,500 V and are accompanied by a 30-year power output guarantee for 91.25% of the initial yield.
