ASME launches R&D Pulse content platform
Emily Councilor | August 16, 2022ASME has introduced its newest member-exclusive benefit, R&D Pulse, to expose users to a vast array of STEM-focused thought leadership with a visually appealing spin.
R&D Pulse is one of ASME's many member-exclusive benefits that includes access to a hand selected collection of content focused on today's most pressing engineering topics. On a quarterly basis, members can access two deep-dive technical articles, an interview with a chosen industry expert and an infographic.
Engineers today rely heavily on community-based, peer-trusted research and news; whether to further their education, continually develop new or experienced career paths, research projects or even hobbyist explorations. In the Q1 issue slated for July-September 2022, members can find content including an article on cybersecurity in connected vehicles; an interview with Luca Capriotti, former president of the International Youth Nuclear Congress; an interactive infographic on a sodium-cooled fast reactor; and more.
The idea behind the benefit is to connect ASME's members to technical content that's coming directly from experts in the industry, but offered in an engaging and digestible format. "We wanted to focus on more of a visually appealing way to present the information. These research articles are very interesting if you're in the industry," Valentina Alayon, Member Benefits & Partnerships Specialist with ASME told GlobalSpec, "but we wanted to make them more accessible to all sorts of audiences who might be interested."
A membership with ASME provides a community for engineers to research, network, volunteer and get involved within virtually any technical field of interest. With members in over 135 countries, there are endless opportunities to connect and learn from top industry experts.
