Houston-based Rescue Pipeline Services LLC (RPS) has developed its In-Field Flow Coating (IFC) to improve the performance of existing gas pipelines.

According to its developers, IFC is a nano-composite coating that uses small molecular structures for coating microscopic crevices in existing pipelines, resulting in improved gas pipeline productivity and lowered greenhouse gas emissions.

This is due to the coating’s nano properties, which impart an ultra-slick, low friction surface that results in lowered friction loss, reduced energy consumption, increased flow and a reduction in the deposition of debris.
