This year, we’re introducing new self-lubricating plastic products for the automotive industry that can withstand higher temperatures and resist dirt and corrosion. We’re also offering new plastic energy chains that are stronger, quieter and faster to assemble than their predecessors.

1. & 2. E2 micro e-chains®

E2 micro e-chains are tiny, lightweight one-piece and two-piece cable carriers that are ideal for highly dynamic applications. They can be used in car doors, powered sunroofs, powered windows, wiper systems and more.

The updated E2.1 series features 20-30 percent larger gliding surfaces compared to the previous series and is 7dB(A) quieter thanks to an integrated brake. It’s also 10% stronger and designed with crossbars that users can open on both sides with a screwdriver. Two new micro e-chains with 17 mm and 21 mm inner heights will be available Spring 2021.

All e-chains are rigorously tested each year inside of our 41,000ft2 test lab at our headquarters in Germany and are guaranteed to last 36 months.

3. CRM rotary module

Our CRM rotary module features a rotation angle of up to 6,480 degrees. It has a no slip ring to allow for the guidance of any type of cable within a single system. Its low profile requires minimal installation space and its components can be replaced individually, which makes repairs more cost-effective.

4. iglide® K250 Clip Bearings

Our lightweight iglide K250 clip bearings are some of the latest additions to our highly engineered, tribologically-optimized plastic bearing product line.

K250’s high temperature resistance allows the bearing to remain dimensionally stable after the e-coating process, and its built-in solid lubricants eliminate the need for external oil or grease. It’s also maintenance-free and easy to install.

5. drylin® NTP-27 Telescopic Rails

drylin NTP-27 is made completely out of our highly engineered plastic materials. The rails are up to 70% lighter than competing steel products and can support up to 5.5 lbs. They require no external lubricants and operate quietly due to the absence of rolling elements. drylin NTP-27 is also corrosion resistant and easy to assemble.

6. igubal® GPZM double joints

igubal GPZM double joints are 25% more elastic than our standard housing material. This elasticity allows for a bigger undercut, which acts as a seal against dirt and dust. The double joints require no external lubricants and are 20 times more abrasion resistant against metal ball studs compared to polyamide.
