KNF introduces next generation of Laboport pumps
Engineering360 News Desk | August 19, 2020Pump manufacturer KNF has introduced a new series of Laboport pumps including models N 96, N 820 G and N 840.
The new diaphragm pumps expand upon the Laboport pumps, which are of oil-free, non-contaminating, chemically resistant construction and they include speed-controlled DC motors for greater versatility. Additionally, an integrated knob controls evacuation speed and a color status display indicates whether the pump is operating normally or on standby.
The N 820 G and N 840 G models include an integrated gas ballast valve to encourage short process times, even for high-boiling solvents.

Likewise, the new models offer a 10% to 20% footprint reduction to free up benchtop space and a 5% to 30% weight reduction for improved portability.
Maximum flow rates for the new series range from 7 L/min to 34 L/min with vacuum levels of 97.5 torr to 4.5 torr. Applications for the pumps include rotary evaporation, degassing, filtration, SPE, fluid aspiration, gel drying, centrifugal concentration, vacuum ovens and more.
