General Motors (GM) India will soon roll out its first Chevrolet Beat for export to Mexico.

Vehicle shipments will take place from GM India's manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra. It exported around 1,000 vehicles globally in 2014 andThe Chevrolet Beat hatchback is offered in two-engine options and three fuel options-petrol, diesel and LPG. Source: Chevrolet expects exports of 19,000 in 2015.

Sales of the mini-car in Mexico are set to begin by year-end, implementing a roadmap to make GM India an export hub and Mexico a growing market.

The Chevrolet Beat is currently available in more than 70 markets around the world, primarily as the Chevrolet Spark. To date, more than 1 million Sparks and Beats have been sold worldwide. The company began vehicle exports to Chile from its Talegaon facility in September 2014.

CEO Mary Barra recently announced a $1 billion new investment in GM India. The Talegaon facility has a production capacity of 130,000 vehicles annually and will increase its base capacity to 220,000 vehicles by 2025. Up to 30% of its annual production is planned for markets outside India.
