Fluid power sales increase, yet still lower than 2019
Engineering360 News Desk | March 20, 2020According to the National Fluid Power Association’s (NFPA’s) January report, product shipments rose 16.4% compared to December 2019 while shipments were down 11.5% compared to January 2019.
Meanwhile, industrial hydraulic, pneumatic and mobile hydraulic shipments stayed well below the NFPA Index benchmark of 100, yet, all three indexes rose in January. Pneumatic shipments in January 2020 reached about 96.5% of what they were in January 2019, according to the index.

In 2019, fluid power product orders were roughly 85% of what they were for the same timeframe in 2018, and shipments for all fluid power products declined in January 2020.
