The EV Protect product line includes liquid-applied, two-component, polyurethane technologies designed to isolate the effects of thermal runaway, insulate any adjacent cells from heat and fire, and reduce the chances of thermal propagation. EV Protect 4006 and 5006 are liquid-applied, lightweight, flame-retardant foams designed to pot the entire module. In a thermal event, they form a char layer around the cell, which consumes oxygen, preventing thermal propagation from moving from one cell into the next. This patented technology of H.B.
