Hydraulic fluid with higher flash point launched by Renewable Lubricants
GlobalSpec News Desk | November 06, 2023Renewable Lubricants, a manufacturer of high-performance, environmentally friendly, food grade products, lubricants, greases and cleaners, has recently introduced its Bio-Ultimax 1000, a biosynthetic formula designed to replace mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids.
Featuring a flash point of 450° F, the Bio-Ultimax 1000 lubricant offers a significant safety margin, particularly in situations where hydraulic hoses may rupture and release hot fluids into the engine compartment.
The company added that Bio-Ultimax 1000 is available in various weights — including ISO 32, 46, 68 and 100 — and it is suited for systems with pressures up to 10,000 PSI, and in setups featuring ultra-fine filtration.
Furthermore, field studies and tests have demonstrated minimal wear when using biobased formulations in various pump types and under pressures and temperatures ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 PSI and from 150° F to 210° F.
