The Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media has adopted a regulation on the use of wireless equipment on the band 30 MHz to 66 MHz. The new regulation will enable use of equipment supporting the IEEE 802.11ac and IEEE 802.11ad standards. The new standards are intended to raise the efficiency of spectrum use, supporting higher Wi-Fi speeds.
