Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now stocking the Nano2 885 Series AECQ-compliant fuses from Littelfuse. The fuses have interrupting current ratings up to 1,500 amps. They are designed for performance in harsh environments, protecting electric vehicles from severe fault and short-circuit currents. The fuses comply with the IEC 60127-7 Standard.
The Littelfuse Nano2 885 Series fuses are optimized for use in automotive applications up to 350 VAC and 450 VDC/500 VDC. The fuses are housed in a low-profile 10.86 by 4.78 millimeter package. They are one of the smallest available surface-mount fuses for automotive applications in the 450/550 VDC range. The 885 Series fuses offer low voltage drop, high pulse resistance, and a current rating range of 1 to 5 amps. The robust 885 Series fuses have a solderless platform. This minimizes the risk of nuisance openings due to mechanical bonding failure.
The Littelfuse Nano2 885 Series fuses are suitable for electric vehicles that demand a minuscule form factor. This includes lithium-ion battery packs, battery management systems and sense lines. The fuses are also suitable for onboard chargers and high-voltage DC/DC converters.
