Source: AETOS WireSource: AETOS WireA 700-MW extension to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park recently approved by the government of Dubai will make it the largest single-site concentrated solar power (CSP) project in the world.

The extension will give the existing park an added capacity of 5,000 MW by 2030.

Currently, the park, which is located 50 km south of Dubai, includes 2.3 million photovoltaic solar panels and a capacity of 200 MW.

The park is expected to blanket over 214 sq km and to cut emissions by 6.5 million tons annually.
