Pleiger’s new TPKR centrifugal pumps: Efficient liquid transport for challenging applications
Diana Aoun | September 23, 2024The TPKR series of centrifugal pumps, developed by Pleiger Maschinenbau, promises a high efficiency transport solution for liquids across a wide range of industrial applications. Engineered to handle challenging media, including liquids with solid content or abrasive media, these pumps are particularly suited for demanding environments such as wastewater treatment and chemical processing.
The TPKR pumps are designed to prioritize high efficiency operation, which significantly reduces energy consumption. This not only leads to lower operational costs but also reduces the environmental footprint of the pumping process.

The new pumps also feature a durable construction with abrasion reserves and hydraulically adjustable wheels, offering enhanced wear resistance for a longer service life. Combined with easily replaceable parts and low maintenance costs, these pumps are designed for operational efficiency and reduced downtime.
The TPKR series offers a wide range of nominal diameters starting from DN 100 to DN 700. The pumps can handle a variety of flow rates and pressures to meet diverse operational needs, with conveying capacities ranging from 5 to 2,500 liters per second (80 to 40,000 US gpm) and delivery heights ranging from 7 to 45 meters (23 to 158 ft).
The pumps are also available with several impeller options, including spiral impellers (one-channel), T-spiral impellers (two-channel), Y-impellers (three-channel) and vortex-type impellers. The congestion-resistant impellers, designed with large free ball passages, ensure that the pumps can handle solids without clogging. This flexibility makes them suitable for handling a range of media, from clean water to highly polluted liquids.
