Introducing the new 148VK: An ETRI cooling fan for the whole world
GlobalSpec News Desk | June 20, 2024Rosenberg USA has introduced a new version of its popular ETRI 148VK AC axial cooling fan. The new 148VK Rev. E features a wider temperature range: (-40° C/85° C; -40° F/185° F), the addition of an integrated self-tapping screw on the ground boss to facilitate mounting and the tropicalization of fan motors.
The 148VK Rev. E is a high-performance fan designed to provide reliable cooling world-wide. Its new construction will accommodate a wide variety of installations, and the expanded range of operating temperatures allows it to operate in very cold or very hot environments. Tropicalization protects the 148VKSource: Rosenberg USA in climates with high humidity or particularly severe environmental conditions.
The 148VK is built with an aluminum body and a UL 94V-0 plastic impeller. Total weight is just 0.8 kg (1.78 lbs.). The new fans outperform competitive models in airflow by 9% and life expectancy by 33% to 50%.
The ETRI 148V Series includes six models offering airflow from 104 CFM to 252 CFM, compared to 228 CFM maximum for competitive fans. Life expectancy is 80,000 hours at 40˚ C, compared to 60,000 or 40,000 hours for lesser competitive fans.
Measuring 172 mm x 150 mm x 38 mm, the fans are stackable and feature terminal connections. They are also available with flying leads; ball bearings are standard. Options include speed sensors, salt spray protection, shock and vibration protection.
Maximum rated noise for the 148VK ranges from a low of 36 dB(A) to a high of just 57 dB(A). Standard models are offered in either 115 V AC or 220 V AC, 50 Hz or 60 Hz. They are approved to applicable UL, CE and UKCA standards. Some versions are GAM T1 listed or can be reinforced for non-standard applications. They are also available for three-phase input power. Thermal protection is standard.
