New magnetostrictive linear hydraulic and pneumatic position sensors launched by Novotechnik
GlobalSpec News Desk | May 17, 2023Novotechnik, a developer and manufacturer of rotary and linear position sensors, potentiometers, and other electronic components has announced the launch of its TM1 Series of linear hydraulic and pneumatic position sensors, which are designed for use in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders — especially in tight-space applications.
The series of position sensors is based on magnetostrictive technology and they are available in screw flange or plug-in flange models. A ring-shaped magnetic marker moves up and down the sensor’s shaft for touchless operation.
The company's engineers work with clients before a part is selected to discuss specific applications and answer questions. Select the TM1 Series and receive support in three ways.
Novotechnik's TM1 Series of magnetostrictive position sensors provide unlimited mechanical life, high accuracy and are easy to design-in to your application.
Other features include:
· Magnetostrictive touchless technology
· Stroke lengths from 50 mm to 2,000 mm (1.9 in to 78.7 in)
· Accuracy to ±0.04%
· Absolute output: meets specs without calibration
· Operating pressure range of 0 bar to 350 bar (5,076 psi), 450 bar peaks (6,526 psi)
· Sealed up to IP 69K
· Electromagnetic compatibility tested
