Australia-based tech company L3Harris Micreo is reportedly developing new bomb disposal robots for the Australian government.

Under the $46 million contract, L3Harris Micreo will develop 80 new explosive ordnance disposal robots, replacing the current iteration of robots used by Australian military personnel to disarm bombs.

The robots will reportedly be outfitted with cameras and sensors for finding, examining and subsequently neutralizing explosive hazards and devices.

Like the current iteration of bomb disabling robots employed by the Australian military, the new bomb disposal robots from L3Harris Micreo are being designed to keep military personnel safe while disarming explosives.
