Valworx recently launched its new line of all-stainless air actuated sanitary butterfly valves. The new valve range features Tri-Clamp ends for hygienic connections, and all materials comply with applicable FDA, USDA and 3-A standards.

The new sanitary butterfly valves feature heavy duty quarter turn stainless steel rack and pinion actuators designed for long service life. The 316L forged stainless steel valve body provides excellent corrosion resistance, while the single piece 316L disc/stem with disc polished to mirror finish minimize flow turbulence.

Sanitary tri-clamp ends enable quick, sanitary connections and easy cleaning. The valve comes with standard Namur mounting pads for optional accessory limit switches and pilot valves. Valves also come with NPT pilot air ports and an additional Namur VDI/ VDE-3845 solenoid mounting pad.

The air actuated sanitary butterfly valves are available with spring return or double acting stainless pneumatic actuators. The double acting stainless steel rack and pinion actuators use air pressure to open and air pressure to close the ball valve (four-way pilot). Spring return stainless steel rack and pinion actuators use air pressure to open and springs to close the ball valve (three-way pilot). Actuators will work with filtered, dry or lubricated compressed air, and the recommended air supply pilot pressure should be between 4 and 6 bar (58 and 87 psi). An easy-to-read visual valve position indicator is located on top of the actuator.

The new Valworx air actuated sanitary butterfly valves are suitable for use in applications where sanitary conditions are required, including food, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care and pet care. They are also suitable for utility, process and corrosive environment applications where quick clamp applications are needed.
